To Okta Verify Test Users,

We have deployed the replacement version of Okta Verify on your PC.

You are now able to enroll in Okta Passcode.

As a reminder, Okta Passcode is our replacement solution for Windows Hello, which we will not go forward with. Okta Passcode utilizes an eight-digit code; this eight-digit code can be used for MFA purposes (although not for logging onto your laptop or desktop).

For context, BW IT is working toward eliminating the use of security questions as an MFA factor, so implementing Okta Passcode will help us achieve this goal.

OKTA PASSCODE ENROLLMENT

  • As stated in the instructions, the passcode must be a minimum of eight digits (and no letters or special characters).
  • Enrollment will take four to six minutes to complete.
  • IT team members, be aware: Since security questions are not available as an Okta MFA option for IT team members, you will need to use Okta Verify, SMS, or a phone call as your MFA factor during the Passcode enrollment process.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Arif Uzzaman at Arif.Uzzaman@barry-wehmiller.com.

Thank you once again for your assistance on this important initiative!
