URGENT NOTICE

To all BW team members

Numerous BW team members have reported receiving external MS Teams calls from people claiming to be from our IT Support department. 

These calls are malicious in nature. The intent of the caller is to get you to download remote-access software, which will provide the attacker with easy access to your computer and to our network. 

• If you don’t recognize a caller, don’t accept the call. You do not need to report this event. 
• If you accidentally join a call and realize something is suspicious, hang up and report it to your service desk. 
• If you did engage with a caller (for example, by following their instructions and downloading/installing remote-access software), immediately contact your service desk and describe your interaction.
