Hello, BW IT Team Members,

We are pleased to let you know that on Monday, October 13, the IT Change Control process will be live in the new Atlassian Jira Service Management (JSM) solution!

You are receiving this email because, over the past couple of years, you have had some participation in IT Change Control, either as a change requester, a sponsor, or an implementer within BW Enterprise or BW Packaging

(Important Note: Change Control for Amplify will not go live in JSM on October 13. More information will be provided when we get closer to the JSM date for Amplify.)

Changing From Current RFC Process to JSM

BW IT’s current Request for Change (RFC) application will still be available for use through Friday, November 14, 2025. Until that time, you are welcome to submit an RFC through the existing tool, OR through JSM, once it goes live.

IMPORTANT: Our current RFC application will shut down after November 14, so please familiarize yourself with JSM in advance of that date.

Learn more about JSM: Attend an Overview Session

Later today you will receive invitations to three instances of our JSM overview sessions.

  • Please accept the one that best fits your schedule, and decline the others.
  • Recordings of the sessions will be available if you are unable to attend.
  • In these overview sessions, the session leader will present on both the “happy path,” as well as alternate paths for the lifecycle of a change request.

Other Important JSM Training Information:

  1. Here is a link to our ClickLearn training module
  2. Please don’t take the ClickForm training until you’ve attended or viewed the recording of one of the three overview sessions.
  3. Please try to complete the ClickLearn training between Friday, October 3, and Friday, October 10.
  4. When you are ready to take the ClickLearn training: Once in there, choose the training materials for the role you expect to play in your project’s change control. The roles are:
    • change requester;
    • sponsor;
    • change advisory board (CAB) member;
    • change manager;
    • and implementer.

If you have any questions about JSM, please contact one of the following:

Thank you very much for all you do to keep our IT projects running on track!
