Dear Okta Verify Test Users,
Reminder – Saturday, December 13, or Sunday, December 14:
Make sure your computer is connected to the internet for at least 24 hours.
Note: You do not need to be connected to the Barry-Wehmiller VPN nor do you need to be logged in.
Connecting to the internet for a 24-hour period this weekend is necessary so we can uninstall and reinstall a later version of Okta Verify.
We are implementing a later version of Okta Verify on your PC so that you be able to enroll in Okta Passcode.
Passcode is an eight-digit code that can be used for MFA purposes (although not for logging onto your laptop or desktop). For context, BW IT is working toward eliminating the use security questions as an MFA factor, and implementing Okta Passcode will help us achieve this goal.
One day next week, once the replacement Okta Verify with Passcode is installed and ready, we will email to let you know it is time to enroll your Okta Passcode. (You can find a sneak peek at the instructions here.)
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Arif Uzzaman at Arif.Uzzaman@barry-wehmiller.com.
Thank you once again for your assistance on this important initiative!
