BW team members,
At Barry-Wehmiller, we hope to create a culture where every team member feels cared for by their leader and the organization, and is able to have meaningful work and go home each and every day fulfilled. As such, we aspire for our organization to be intentionally inclusive—one where everyone, everywhere feels that they matter. Our recent Every Voice Matters cultural assessment was a first step to gather information about how team members of various identities experience our culture.
In order to dive deeper into ensuring all team members feel cared for, we are launching a series of Listening Sessions to focus more specifically on the topic of Inclusion. We have partnered with Unleashed, an independent firm specializing in Inclusion, to facilitate confidential Listening Sessions across the organization. Unleashed works with global brands to discover seen and unseen gaps of accessibility and help transform challenges into opportunities for growth. These sessions are designed to hear directly from our team members to inform BW’s future Inclusion initiatives and ensure that BW’s culture is reaching its full potential.
Together with BW’s Organizational Development and Inclusion Leader, Chyna Bowen (chyna.bowen@barry-wehmiller.com), the Unleashed team has designed 10 sessions across the globe to hear your voice. Chyna, who joined BW in January, has a decade of experience and expertise building inclusive cultures and fostering environments where everyone feels valued and respected. She will collaborate with all of you to create a workplace that is equitable and inclusive.
The voluntary Inclusion Listening Sessions will be held at various times from April 10 – 28, 2023 and are:
- Available to all team members; those who need a private space to participate will be accommodated upon confirmation of registration
- Virtual and 90 minutes in length
- Completely confidential—Unleashed will ensure that all responses remain confidential
- Accommodations will be made for team members’ preferred language
- Accessible via closed captioning for HOH or ASL-Deaf team members
