Driven by our foundational commitment to ensuring that those within our span of care know that who they are and what they do matter, we are implementing strategies to enable us to build a greater sense of belonging at BW.
Through feedback to the Every Voice Matters cultural assessment, as well as listening sessions led by BW’s Organizational Development and Inclusion Leader Chyna Bowen, we’ve outlined these initial steps:
- Barry-Wehmiller University is creating continuous learning opportunities, and exploring how we can leverage different perspectives within our courses.
- The Packaging Platform and Information Technology Team are launching pilot projects to help us understand how to attract and retain diverse talent.
- We are fostering partnerships in St. Louis to support the next generation of manufacturing and STEM leaders through education and workforce development initiatives.
Make sure to view the upcoming video from BW President Kyle Chapman about BW’s inclusion initiatives and watch for additional BW Inclusion updates throughout the year.
Our goal is to build a better world through business, and to do so, we believe we must embody a better world. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to inclusion@barry-wehmiller.com.
