BW leaders,
Whether you’re a new leader or have been a BW leader for some time, I hope you’ve thoughtfully considered what we mean by the
“awesome responsibility of leadership.” We use that phrase to describe the significance of the role of leaders in our organization. We,
as leaders, hold the key to achieving our vision of an organization where People and Performance in Harmony.
Whether a formal leader with team members in your span of care or a leader because of your knowledge or influence, you are crucial
to our team members experiencing what drives them—feeling cared for and that the work they do is meaningful and makes a difference.
When our team members experience those things, they will perform beyond our expectations! That is the path to becoming a vibrant
organization where everyone experiences growth, success and personal fulfillment!
So, how do you become the leader our team members deserve and need? You
learn
the expected skills and behaviors of good leadership.
In 2023, we introduced our
Leader Expectations & Commitments,
which clarify how to act as a leader. Knowing the Commitments and the daily behaviors to embody them allow you to determine the skills
to learn and develop.
If you’re unfamiliar with our Leader Expectations & Commitments, it is your responsibility to become familiar with them.
