BW and Bob Chapman featured on CBS News Sunday Morning story

“How can you run a company and not care about the people that are put in your span of care? And when you treat them as functions, you're saying they don't matter, it's just an economic transaction. And it is not just an economic transaction.” BW Chairman Bob Chapman appeared on CBS News Sunday Morning on Dec. 14 as part of a segment discussing the current state of layoffs in the U.S. It was filmed at the BW Packaging facility in Romeoville, IL (US). We're very proud of his opportunity to share our message of Truly Human Leadership and how that perspective relates to this important issue.

New Packaging Innovation Center advances collaboration and learning

BW Converting’s Packaging Innovation Center in Green Bay, WI (US), offers practical training, hands-on learning and real-world technology demonstrations. Training topics include press setup and operation, printing plates, mounting tapes, doctor blades, process color, ink management, corona treatment and more. The center features a PCMC Meridian Elite+ laser anilox cleaner, so participants engage directly in live production demonstrations and guided press operation. Classes are open to anyone eager to learn about flexographic printing. A full schedule of 2026 sessions will be released soon.

Afinitas acquisition expands infrastructure solutions capabilities

Afinitas, the leading global infrastructure equipment and services company, recently announced the acquisition of RJ Watson, Inc, a leader in products and engineered structural systems for bridge, highway and heavy construction industries headquartered in Alden, NY (US). CARR Biosystems team members celebrate 3rd Annual CARR-nival Picnic

CARR Biosystems in Clearwater, FL (US) recently hosted their Third Annual CARR-nival Picnic, a tradition that continues to showcase what makes the BW organization so special—our people. The gathering was more than a celebration of food, fun and team building, but it served as a meaningful opportunity for team members to reconnect, reflect and align on how CARR will continue to grow and innovate while strengthening its culture of people, performance and harmony.

Congratulations to Gisela for receiving an award for Drives Results. Her nominator Craig Davies said, "Gisela's work ethic is marked by a rare combination of initiative, reliability and empathy. She didn't just fill in gaps: she anticipated needs, maintained high standards and did so with a calm, solutions-focused mindset. That kind of dedication doesn't go unnoticed. Shine the Light Award: Preston Makoutz, BWP-Sheboygan

Congratulations to Preston for receiving an award for Drives Results. His nominator Jacob Strojny said, "Preston has increased machine performance and reliability through his dedication to solving every problem as it arises. He executes no matter what is required of him, whether it be going to a customer site, working over the weekend or staying late to meet tight deadlines. He has done this on many occasions while maintaining a positive outlook."

Shine the Light Award: Charletha Cade, BWDG-Chicago

Congratulations to Charletha for receiving an award for Instills Trust. Her nominator Adam Rosenthal said, "Charletha excels in effective communication, customer focus, driving results and optimizing work, but I feel that in doing all of that, she ultimately instills trust with both internal and external teams. Charletha is currently working in a difficult project environment onsite with a client while also taking on new challenges in AE design project management. She is always looking for feedback and knowledge, not just for herself, but to support her team."

Shine the Light Award: Kelly Bennett, BW-St. Louis

Congratulations to Kelly for receiving an award for Customer Focus. "During a time of intense activity around recruiting and hiring new BW Continuous Improvement talent, Kelly has consistently demonstrated a professional attitude and exemplary focus on understanding her customers and working to ensure alignment to their objectives," said her nominator Doug Neal. "She has consistently provided updates and made her customer feel valued and heard. This has resulted in hiring almost half a dozen people in the first half of the year."
